It doesn't hurt to ask

Yup, pretty sure you can say something like "Well, I was thinking about company X because they offer me feature Y, can you match that?"
The reps have a lot of power, be polite, and you'd be surprised what can get done.

As a new customer I highly doubt they will do anything for you... If they do say no
Call them back in a few months and try again

I was pretty new and I got caller ID free for 3 months by asking.
It's been awhile since that ended, I'm thinking of calling in to negotiate again, I'll see what I can get and share it here: :D

Seeing as Koodo is technically a "no contract" company there is no retention deals per say. However, being "no contract" also means it's a lot easier for one to pick up and leave. In my mind, Koodo reps would be silly not to offer free call display for a couple months to a customer. Guaranteed you won't get the same kind of deals you would with the Big 3, but I would imagine you might get a little something anyway. No harm in trying, what's the worst they're going to say? No?

And if you pick up to leave they lose business. I guess you won't be seeing insane retention plans as Koodo is already cheaper than the regular Big 3 plans for the most part. I would be very happy if they just shave a few more bucks off my monthly bill.

I have been with Koodo for more than 3.5 years. I saw in another thread that someone has been able to get $15/month credit over a 30$/month plan. Is there a way you can actually get directly to the retention department with Koodo? I do know for sure that there do is one retention department, check this job listing with the job title being "Spécialiste, fidélisation et rétention de la clientèle"
