Hey folks,

I checked the motorola user guide for the Milestone, and browsed through crap on HoFo, but no one knows for sure what the "H" icon means on the Milestone. Some people say it's for HSPDA, which I always ***umed was 3G. GSM Arena says this phone can download at 10Mb/s and upload at about 5Mb/s, which seems strange to me.

Anyway, is anyone sure what the H means? Thanks.

It does stand for HSPA.

I have a Milestone and I've seen mine display both "H" and "3G" separately. I've only seen 3G on two occasions though so it's rare, but the phone dioes do both. I've heard that HSPA or HSPDA referred to as 3.5G, 3G+ or turbo 3G. Current HSDPA deployments support down-link speeds of 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 and 14.0 Mbit/s (Wiki). Hope this helps answer your question.
