Seems like a new version of the Galaxy Nexus is on its way. A LTE version with a dual 1.5Ghz!

I'd like to think that it will be either Telus' or Rogers' version but it seems that Sprint won't release it before the summer!
Will we be lucky?

Telus would be last to get this phone as they dont even have a lte network up and running yet

I question the accruacy of the Sprint ad. Initially there were all kinds of conflicting rumours about whether the GN would be 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz. The source for the conflict was that the leaks had the CPU right - TI OMAP 4460 ARM Cortex-A9. This is actually capable of operating 1.5GHz but Google underclocked it to 1.2GHz because it works just fine at the lower frequency (in my experience) and saves power.
The sprint ad seems to have been pulled down now. I'm guessing that someone wrote up that ad based on the specs for the cpu rather than the actual specs for the device. I just can't see Google underclocking every phone execpt on one carrier, or installing a different cpu in a specific carrier's phone this soon after the initial launch.

Yeah good point. We always need to be careful with that kind of ads.
But in Sprint's case it would make sense to launch a new phone like that with their LTE network. One of my questions would be for how long the hype will last since beginning of the summer will be really close to SGIII's hype.
In any cases (true or false), we won't see a device like that in Canada for a while. My guess is that the Big 3 will hold on Samsung's flagship devices until the SGIII.
