wind and mobilicity are the only two providers in BC that aren't HUGE rip offs. is there any way to get an unlocked iphone to work on wind or mblicity?

Nope you will only get 2G which would be roaming on Rogers

iPhones don't operate on the frequency used by Wind or Mobilicity.

As an American, you're familiar with T-Mobile. Wind and Mobi operate on the same frequency band as T-Mobile. If you have an unlocked T-Mobile phone, that will work.

If you're using an AT&T iPhone, you're stuck with Rogers or Fido.

if I have a T-Mobile unlocked iphone would I be able to use Wind's data? Or would I have to use Roger's 2g as roaming like silver arrow said?

T- Mobile does not have the iphone, but any 3G/4G phone on T-mobile should work with Wind or Mobilicity.

Any Iphone that worked on T-Mobile will only be able to use Rogers' 2G with Moblicity or Wind sim card.

Yes. You must use the limited-edition, north korean only Product (RED) hello kitty iphone (in electric-eel blue).

I have a macbook air and would like to have an iphone seamlessly work with it. They also have the best customer service and intuitive design.

I'll look up the SX2...but Telus plans are too expensive anyhow.

The Robelus plans are higher cost, but you can always try to negotiate a little bit on the new plan. I doubt they'll give you heavy discounts on the plan/data, but they might give you stuff like free texting, CID, and/or VM for 1-3 years or something like that. Also, Koodo has the iphone and they have more reasonable rates unless you're using heavy data in which case I'd try and take advantage of the $30 for 6GB type plans from Robelus.

I think I'll use 1 to 3 GB a month...which is $30 from Koodo, but they slide it down if you use less, and it comes with unlimited local calling, plus I can always get out of the tab plan if wind/mobilicity start to work with iphones.

They won't start to work with the current iphone, but the next iphone is supposed to support AWS bands which Wind/Mobilicity work on...
