I don't know if this is possible. My current phone is junk and I just need a new phone to get me by through the rest of my contract. I noticed that telus is selling this phone for cheaper than without contract

Is it possible to activate a pre-paid phone on a post-paid plan? or do I have to buy a brand new post paid phone/used post paid phone off of kijiji?

it sounds too good to be true. is it?

It can be done and is done rather frequently. Any experienced sales rep at any store should be able to help you out.

Yes it can be done. If you go into a store and they say you can't, I might suggest buying a phone and then calling TELUS to activate.

Some dealers won't let you because they don't get commission that way.

Just something to keep in mind.

hmm, thanks, I went to wal mart and bought a post-paid phone. the guy at the counter said yes,

i called up the tech support just to see what the tech support person would say, and she said yes, and she said that she would put a note on my account for a free handset swap (i dont know why).. and i told her I had the handset, and she said that shed do it for me free of charge.

my new phones more reliable than my old (at this point) thanks for the advice.. I almost bought a used one on kijiji for $90
