So frustrating! I have money to pay for a Galaxy Nexus outright but I'll be damned to sign up to Bell/Virgin even for a month when I have an existing arrangement I am happy with.
This is just a whine but I've been to Bell/Virgin kiosks been told that I have to sign up to min on month + 30 days notice period @ 30/month plan + 35 activation fee!
Then I went to Costco they have the Galaxy Nexus for 599 but same deal i.e. the extra fees!
I just refuse to be bent over like this! So looking forward to getting this phone and the carriers just can't wait to sc*ew you at every opportunity. But I blame Google more.. At the end of the day they are building a device with Samsung, they design/built/market, then why can't they just put a sticker on it and sell it, set the price and that's it. Yes Bell/Virgin probably negotiated an exclusive but when all the kiosks I've been to have stock, 12+ devices. What's the point?
Wouldn't they rather people actually take them home and enjoy the devices rather than have them sitting on shelves. Completely mad!
If Google or Samsung are listening out there.. you would never see this happening with Apple they know how to keep their customers happy i.e. give them the device they want, bet you they wouldn't have any iphone stock at any store 3 days into a release of their flagship device. The buzz will pass and the next device will be more alluring. Stop making people jump through hoops to give you money!
