I picked this device up on a 3 year contract from Virgin early October, a few weeks later there was dust under the screen.
I call up and they tell me so long as its within 30 days they'll swap it out no questions asked, sure enough I get it replaced in time.
Now however, it's happened again. It's getting ridiculous, all I want is a phone that doesn't have dust under the screen, are they just going to keep replacing the phone or are they going to do something about it? I really don't have time to return and start with a new device every 2 weeks.
Has anyone else here experienced this? Is there anything I could do?
(this problem has been reported widely online)

Never heard of this myself, but I quickly did a google search and found quite a few results on the subject. Even one discussion over at xda (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520795) where in typical xda style someone disassembles the device and fixes it himself. Shy of going to that warranty-voiding extreme you may be stuck.
It seems to be a manufacturers defect. I'd go back and see if they will replace it. Did you get an extended warranty? Maybe you can talk them into replacing it with different device. Worth a try. Best of luck.

I have the Incredible S and have not noticed this issue. I wonder if it is just model specific? A different device might be better for you, to avoid the constant swapping of phones.

This is a well known issue for the sensation, the way htc curved the screen and created a little gap where dust can come under the scree. My sensation doesnt have this yet, maybe cause its in a otterbox type case, or some devices are more prone to it than others. Not much you can do at this point, if you search for fixes on xda or goodle , some ppl posted pictures on how they fixed it , but it seems a lot of work and possible screen damage if its not done correctly.

Thank you for your replies,
I called Virgin who said they'd get the device to HTC if I personally called HTC and confirmed that it was in fact covered by their warranty to avoid a "diagnostic fee" if it wasn't (shouldn't Virgin know these things?)
Virgin rep then switched me to the HTC, HTC said that they were a New York office and didn't deal with Canada then switched me to Canadian services (TDC something, 3rd party), third party said they didn't deal with the sensation, bumped me to the HTC Canada root menu and eventually I talked to an HTC rep who confirmed that they would do it.
Called Virgin back, told them HTC confirmed it. Representative took down my info to dispatch a box and noted my grievances.
Wasn't home to accept the box, got delivery notice, will pick it up soon and dispatch the phone.
I'll keep you posted on progress.
This ****ing sucks.

Phone in the mail, rep on the phone said it should be back sometime around the 14th.
They sent me a seasoned HTC Legend loaner.

At least its covered...
I would suggest getting a sealed case for it after you get it back... prevent the dust from even touching it...
