Bell WILL and CAN unlock the iPhone,;):D:D all you have to do is call Apple and get them to conference call Bell and instruct them on how to unlock the iPhone.

Bell WILL also unlock any HSPA phone of theirs as long as you have been with them for at least 30 days. It costs $75 per unlocking. Their initial story is that they DON'T unlock the iPhone, but when you get apple to call in, and just tell them how to unlock it without really asking too many questions they will do it.

It's EASY and takes about 2mins and you then will have an unlocked iPhone. I just told Bell that I was going to go with Solo... I actually do have a Solo acct, but I'm sure there are many other stories you can give them like you are going to be traveling and need to use the phone overseas.

The only catch is that it HAS to be a Bell purchased iPhone. :D

I still can't believe that locking phones is legal in the States or Canada, if you look at Apple's list of countries that either provide legit unlocking or come already unlocked they are mostly third world countries... WHY IS THIS ALLOWED IN CANADA?! This is so ridiculous! =P

Anyways long story short Bell unlocked the phone (the bell store or cust service can do this)

I got my Omnia II unlocked. I was told I had to phone in to customer service. Yep, just took a couple of minutes to get the codes. Have to enter them when I use a new sim card. They tried to say it would void warranty but it doesn't.
