Wow I just find out a little bit late Nov19/2011 ...ish! Dave Dobblin apparently will be perusing other interest...(WTF does that mean!) He's decided to move to Calgary and become a Cowboy?
Whatever!
I quote
"Startup wireless provider Mobilicity has parted ways with chief executive Dave Dobbin, with the company announcing Friday chief operating officer Stewart Lyons has been appointed CEO.
Toronto entrepreneur and founding financier in the venture, John Bitove, is also assuming the role of executive chairman.
“We offer our thanks to Dave for his contributions through our initial launch phase,” said Mr. Bitove, whose Obelysk holding company has bankrolled the new carrier alongside U.S. investor Quadrangle Capital Partners.
The management shakeup arrives as new entrants to Canada’s $18-billion market struggle to win share against entrenched incumbents Rogers, Bell and Telus and each other.
Rival Wind Mobile replaced its CEO in June only to see its sales fall short in the third quarter.
Privately owned Mobilicity said it has won a quarter of million subscribers to date and “by far” the highest average revenue per subscriber (ARPU) among startup new entrants, which include Wind Mobile and Public Mobile Inc. The company did not disclose the figure.
[*Correction: In a company release, Mobilicity said it has "attracted" 250,000 customers to date, a figure that does not account for "churn", or the number of subscribers who have left. Analyst estimates put the carrier's present subscriber base at 165,000.]"
"It's been two years since new independent providers first started appearing on the mobile landscape, but the growing pains continued with Mobilicity parting ways with its chief executive just last week. David Dobbin, the company's former president and chief executive, has been replaced by COO Stewart Lyons. Competitor Wind Mobile replaced its own chief executive, Ken Campbell, in June. Dvai Ghose, analyst with Canaccord Genuity, notes that Wind, Mobilicity, Public Mobile and other new entrants have had some trouble finding traction with Canadians despite cheaper, simpler plans than incumbents Rogers Communications Inc., BCE Inc. and Telus Corp. "They aimed to differentiate through low priced unlimited voice and data and no contracts in return for unsubsidized devices," he said in a note. "While consumers dislike complex and expensive incumbent price plans and contracts, they have also shown an unwillingness to buy unsubsidized devices."

If the IPhone 5 is introduce to this market under AWS the mass would be pleased. Wind & Mob would win this battle.
IPhones to date work on AWS with the exception of no Wi-fi.
The only thing I am concerned is Wind or Mob....Hhhmmmm
