Virgin Mobile has introduced Broadband2Go and now offers an internet stick (http://www.virginmobile.ca/broadband2go) for $149 which allows consumers to get mobile internet access on Canada's largest 3G network.

The CSRs can't give me a definitive reason as to why a credit card is mandatory for activation of the Internet stick on prepaid. Can anyone else explain it?
