Hello there!
I'm looking to give my blackberry the boot, but I keep finding conflicting information about the upcoming phones & the latest-and-greatest choices
From what I gather, November 17th will be the launch of the next Nexus phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy phone (Nexus Prime?) /w the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. Is that right?

I travel very frequently between the US and Canada. My current carrier for Canada is Rogers, and I am on contract with them. I use pay-as-you-go in the US with AT&T. I'm looking for the cheapest way to get my hands on the phone, and if I get in the US I think I'd have to unlock it. Can someone help me, please?

Thanks!

The 17th was the release date for the UK. In Canada, Bell is releasing the phone in 'early December'. Rogers and Telus have announced they will be releasing the phone 'January'.

The good news is that the version of the phone released by Bell will be pentaband and work on all Canadian carriers (even new entrants). Though for Rogers and Bell it will only work on their HSPA+ (21 Mbps) networks, not their new LTE networks. Assuming you have an AT&T SIM card, you should be fine to use this phone in the states. The Mobile Syrup review of the device today confirmed that the phone will come unlocked.

You didn't say if you we looking to buy the phone outright from Bell or not, but it looks like you'll have to wait until sometime in January to get the phone from Rogers.

Another option would be to buy it outright from Verizon end of november, since it comes unlock you should not have any problem using it on AT&T, just make sure the Verizon version is also the pentaband!

As far as I know the Verizon version is different as it is LTE capable. And why would I buy from an American provider when Canadian providers are getting this phone?
