I think the Curve 8330 is a solid entry level blackberry, but what are the conditions of the offer? Can you only get that device? Or is it a set discount on any smartphone?

If it is a discount, I would wait a week for the new phones to come out :)

great response and welcome to the forums Hobbyist.
I just wanted to point out that some posts are many months old so the original poster probably is done with that topic. For example, this post is from November of 2009. Just keep an eye on dates, because we could use your advice in some active threads, instead of these old dead threads.

Again, welcome! And I look forward to reading your comments in the future.

I am being offered the same discount for the Blackberry Curve 8330 on a month-to-month promotion as I also have 12 months left in my contract. I've been interested in this phone for quite a while now & yet I cannot justify spending $250 on a Blackberry model that is no longer advertised on their website. :p

The Blackberry curve 8330 was (very recently) being offered free under a two year plan (but not for early renewals) I notice that now it is gone.... If I were close to the end of my agreement (and wanted this) I would call 'retentions' and ask for it (under those same terms) My wife until recently had the 8330 and it is a great phone.
