Samsung Galaxy Nexus - Arriving to Canada November 14th

Dug this information up by chance. Seems that www.NCIX.com is already taking pre-orders for the new Galaxy Nexus with it shipping shortly after its estimated arrival date of 11/14/2011.

I think they're just putting up a preorder. In otherwords, they know they can order their own around the launch date, so they'll import them and sell it to you when they arrive. Which is fine if you absolutely need it right away. But that doesn't mean the Canadian carriers will launch it on that date, so you'll probably save money by waiting.

Also be cautious of the price there. I notice the site says no exchange, final sale only, no returns/refunds. Alternatively you can go to expansys and they'll let you hedge your purchase by adjusting the price if/when the official Canadian price becomes available.

Turns out these guys just buy the unlocked versions from a supplier overseas and selling them here at a premium in Canada. Not going to catch me buying a non-subsidized phone here in Canada. Unlocked phones are much cheaper abroad ;)

I just noticed that Google's Nexus page for Australia (http://www.google.com.au/nexus/), France (http://www.google.fr/nexus/), The Netherlands (http://www.google.nl/nexus/), The U.K. (http://www.google.co.uk/nexus/), Portugal (http://www.google.pt/nexus/) and (http://www.google.cz/nexus/) others (http://www.google.com.tw/nexus/) all mention the Galaxy Nexus. Canada's page (http://www.google.ca/nexus/), however, references the Nexus S. What gives?

Or maybe not, if the most recent MS story pans out. Only 'weeks' away. Time for me to stop thinking about it. I'll get excited soon enough when it's on Canadian shelves.

I really dont think we will see this anytime soon, regardless of the recent story on ms. If we were really getting this "soon" then one of the big 3 would have said something and gloated about it by now. I say we will get this after Christmas.

NCIX has pulled that now and its no longer for pre-order. It now states, "not available' so somethings up....
