Looks like Walmart is going to start doing to cellphone plans in the US what they have done to other stuff (start lowering the prices). Hope they come into Canada fast.

For 45 bucks they offer unlimited Web, texting and Call Service and for 30 bucks a month they offer 1000 mins of cell, 1000 texts and 30 mb of web and it's offered through Verizon which is arguably the most reliable carrier in the US.

Hopefully they will find someone in Canada to partner with fast. I am thinking Bell as Rogers is just too concentrated on keeping the price high and Telus is not that different whereas Bell has a relatively good network and needs to fill up their network.

I wonder what's gonna happen here then? Bell, Telus and Rogers have already expanded their distribution channels last know Telus and Blacks. I don't see them doing anything here really.
