Does anyone have any experience with the reception/signal strength in kitchener and waterloo with Koodo? I'm a bit worried about choosing anything besides the big 3 for places outside the GTA.

If you've got good Telus or Bell service, you will get Koodo service. My understanding is that Bell/Telus share towers/networks, and well, Koodo _IS_ Telus.

Although not totally relevant, I just hopped over to Koodo from Telus. I live in a rural area and was a tad skeptical as well. Service has proved to be outstanding so far! I get full service in every area of my home which is fantastic considering the closest tower is 8-10 kms away from me. I wouldn't worry about it!

I'll plug here too- if you do jump ship, I'd be happy to send you a referral code so you get $25 tab credit- see my full thread on this for details, and let me know so I can watch for your e-mail (PM is broken still)

I was waiting for you to offer up the referral code! If you weren't going to do it I was :) ! You should get credit for mine shortly.

Yup, credit usually comes in after the first billing cycle; they want to make sure you actually pay a month and don't get a bunch of friends to join/quit for free referrals.

Lol hehe... didn't wanna seem too pushy :)

I dunno if they'd let you, but it seems to me if you find a local koodo shop and talk to people who sign up (have a data plan on your phone to actually send the referrals _before_ they activate) you could easily get a handful of referrals in an hour or two... the one in my local mall always seems to have people signing up.

Can you tell me what rural area that is please. I live south of Bancroft but use Rogers hub for internet.

Hi Giia! I live in Saskatchewan so I don't think were running off the same Network. Just about everything here is Sasktel, like it or not. If there is a Telus tower anywhere close you should have service.
