Hello,

I would like to know if anybody can tell me about camera hardware that is available on phones today.

I have a Nokia N8 and find the pictures absolutely beautiful. They look amazing even when they're blown up on big screens.

Now as it turns out, my girlfriend needs to get a phone. She is a former Blackberry user, and she would like to get a very nice camera as well because she does love photography.

I think that she could get used to a touchscreen, but I am not sure which ones of the new phones to recommend to her.

Are there any Android phones that have a really nice camera setup? It doesn't even have to be higher then 5-8 megapixels as long as the lens is nice and has good capability of capturing low light environment.

Thank you in advance,

B

Vasygsp you would tell your gf to get a sony Xperia Arc which has a 8mp Exmor R camera, with improved low light capture since they have moved the capture sensor closer to the front. True megapixels are not everything and if sony had a 5mp exmor R sensor i would of recomended that one but they dont. So far no cellphone camera has yet caught up to the N8 in capturing most natural looking photos, The sensor on the N8 is large and lets in a lot of light.
