Regarding Samsung Galaxy Fascinate 4G

Out of nowhere the other day, my phone decided to automatically go into "Emergency Calls" only.

I have no idea if this is a provider issue or a networking issue, but nothing would work on my phone, except making an emergency call.

I had to power off my phone totally and re-boot to get it back to normal.

Is there any reason why this may have happened? or a way to avoid this? any information is greatly appreciated.

I get that sometimes on my xperia when i go to low signal area, and than it switches from hspa to edge. This only happens for like 60sec maximum though. Another reason why this could of happened is if your simcard got shifted out of place, i would try taking out sim and putting it back again. How often does this happen or is it the first time?
