Hey,
just wanted to know what everyone thinks of the S2 I really need a new phone and WANT THIS ONE but want to know what current users think about it before(IF) I get one.
Is it worth it? Or is there something better coming out in the near future?;)

Its a good phone now in the market yes, minus a few quirks such as battery life, which most users have issues with now. One good thing is that it feels very light in the hand and can easily fit one's pocket, but do note, if you put a case then it might get slightly bulky depending what case you go for.
Other than that, I enjoy it as my primary phone. Hopefully with an update to 2.3.4, it becomes better. Also if you use Skype, the front camera actually works for making video calls.
One phone that I am looking forward is the Nexus Prime which will be out in fall of this year with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0)

Resist the urge at least for a month longer... The GS2 has now been out for almost 6 months, and right now is the best time for new phone releases. The next iphone is coming very soon, and that will possibly give you some leverage, depending on if you have to sign a contract or not. The next Nexus phone is due out by the end of October, so we should start hearing specs soon. There's also news that the T-mobile variant of the GS2 is using a different cpu than the exynos because the exynos only handles up to HSPA+ 21mbps, so if you are getting it via rogers the specs may be different from what you've read in recent reviews. And if you decide you really do want the GS2, it should be marked down in price within a month as well. I feel your pain though, I'm about to drive a hammer through my iphone 3G, and my contract ended a couple weeks ago. I need a new phone too.

Personally love my S2, battery life could be improved though.

I would wait, I was not impressed with audio quality and for a better indepth review I'd check out http://www.anandtech.com/show/4686/samsung-galaxy-s-2-international-review-the-best-redefined Also lack of NFC on the bell reversion. So it may not be as future proof if you plan keeping it for along time.
And there's always something better around the corner. But wait until October there are quite a lot of new releases for phones and tablets planned for that month.

I have had my SG2 for just about a month now with Bell and I think the phone rocks. As far as android phones in Canada I don't see any other Androids that can touch it right now, until something newer comes out in the next couple of months. :D

Hey! I've had my s2 since the end of July. And I love it!
The only con is battery life, BUT it out lasts my buddies iPhone4. So is it really a con. The phone is just too much fun to play with. Does everything I need for work, business and life. Wondering what I need my laptop for these days!
I'm sure there are good phones around the corner, but I like everything about it! Just be prepared to charge it when you have down time, if your streaming video and music all the time.
Ps. It's a lot tougher than it looks, gotta love samsung products!
