Too big for phone , too little for tablet or just right ?
This is perfect for someone who spends more time using the internet/multimedia than talking on the phone. Hopefully the large 2500 mah battery will give longer usage than current phones. I would definitely get one if its not priced more than $600 .

I could care less about this phone being too big, or awkward to hold for calls because with these bigger screens a nice hands free device will remove the awkwardness.

Exactly what im thinking, more screen space is much better to have than keeping the size of device small.

I like the idea of it, would have to try one to see if I would want it in my pocket.
I use my phone more for browsing and texting so to me this phone would be nice.

If you look at the recently leaked samsung roadmap, the gt-i9220 (galaxy note) is scheduled for release in week 43 (fourth week of October), a full month before the release of the i9210 (galaxy s2 lte) in week 48. Even if those dates move around, it shows samsung is more interested in getting the note to market than the s2 lte. Hopefully they intend to release it in north America at launch, but if not, be ready to import it.

I think this thing looks pretty sweet. I'll have to see how it feels in my pocket first though before I consider maybe buying one of these

I bet that this phone will be a best seller.
It fits exactly what I need. The larger size is good to take notes, and is not really a problem when handling calls, using a bluetooth device most of the time (it is said to be less harmful for our brain tant using the cell itself;)...).

Here is some more pictures and good video of the galaxy note, sounds like its not coming till Q1 in UK and prob Q2 here, if Samsung waits too long to release this the quad core phones will come out and this will lose some of its hype.

I'm Passing too if this is $1000, they should price this $699 at the most.

I wouldn't pay $1000 for a tablet... makes me wonder if the price will change...
The first Galaxy Tab was supposed to be over $1000 but I think by the time it hit North America it was around $500 ?...

Some people mentioned in the other article's comments that the Euro price includes VAT, and there's also the unexplained inflation that all tech seems to enjoy when priced overseas. Hopefully it will be more like 600-700 in North America. If it seriously won't be released here until Xmas or later, it will be hard to choose between it and the Nexus prime, which also should have a HD screen.

The price in the UK first, 600-700 pounds, North Amer. first quarter in 2012 700-800 dollars. It will be the most expensive phone/tablet in the world and the best.

Here is the latest review for the Note, it comes out in Europe on October 31. No mention of US release date or price. The phone is basicly 90% the same as galaxy s ii with bigger screen , overclocked cput from 1.2 - 1.4ghz and a stylus pen.

Is this the first "crossover" in the mobile market, half tablet half phone? Specs are actually fairly decent. It'll be interesting to see how this sells.

I think dell streak was the first phone/tablet hybrid at 5", but cant be really compared to the Note. Here is a complete breakdown of the Note for the hardware it has inside , so basically it has like 90% same hardware as samsung galaxy s 2. I was hoping it would be runing the new exynos chip that runs at 1.5 stock and has next gen gpu, but i guess they are saving that for the galaxy s 3.

Anybody has information about this device ? Is it coming soon to Canada ? What would be the carrier ?
Samsung sold over 1 million units so far.
