I am wondering if I have a normal situation with my battery life.

I have fully drained and charged my battery twice.

The phone has been unplugged from charger overnight. No used at all – only on standby. The battery has used 50% of its power just in standby/idle. This is a period of 11.5 hrs

-All apps were off (killed with app)
-Wifi, Bluetooth etc all turned off
-Screen on very low level of brightness (but not on while in standby)
-Downloaded and using Battery Doctor, Juice Defender Apps
-Spice Battery Manager function says 51% battery use to ‘cell standby’, 46% to ‘Phone idle’ and 3% to ‘display'

So, is this normal to be at 50% after this period and after measures taken to save power? I understand that standby time is supposed to be closer to 200 hours? I’m at 50% power after less than 12 hours.

Maybe I am missing something? Thinking maybe because I do not get a really strong signal in my place (3 of 5 bars)?

does the app manager you are using run auto-kill? If so, how often does it do that?

A weaker signal will use battery trying to find a better signal but it shouldn't be draining your battery to 50% in standby. Some apps can't be killed either and that will factor into using some juice. I know you said WiFi etc is off but did you uncheck the mobile data because if an app is using 4g for gps that will can chew through batteries fairly quick. I also unchecked the box that allows for my phone to send random info back to google. Chances are you are not going to find one thing to save you a large % but a couple little things may help improve a little bit. I use the free juice defender until I buy it, the free one gains me between 5%-15% depending on what I am doing that day with the phone.

Also, I gained an extra 25% (at least), from disabling all the syncs.

Thanks for the responses.

I don't see anything operating that is an autokill, but I have been diligent managing the manual kill function so I can get a true gauge of the battery.

Synching is off as is just about everything.

Thinking i might have a battery dud. Will be checking with Mobilicity. If I get any useful info I'll share it here
