“Rogers and Fido have extended the popular iPhone 3GS promotions until September 15, 2009. Here is a summary of the special upgrade options for current iPhone owners who do not qualify for standard upgrade:

1) For Rogers Wireless customers who bought an iPhone 3G between July 11 and Sept. 30, 2008, and with an average monthly spend of at least $100, Rogers will provide $500 off the cost of an iPhone 3G S. This special offer expires September 15, 2009 and comes with the addition of a one-year term to the customer’s existing service agreement.

· 16GB 3GS $199
· 32GB 3GS $299

2) For Rogers Wireless customers who bought an iPhone between July 11 and Dec. 31, 2008, but aren’t eligible for the above offer, Rogers will provide $250 dollars off the purchase of an iPhone 3G S. This special offer expires September 15, 2009 and comes with the addition of a one-year term to the customer’s existing service agreement.
· 16GB 3GS $449
· 32GB 3GS $549

3) All Rogers Wireless customers can upgrade to the iPhone 3GS at our cost at Rogers.com, or for a suggested retail price of just $19 more than our cost through our retail channels.

· 16GB 3GS $680/$699
· 32GB 3GS $780/$799

4) Fido customers can take advantage of the Fido Rewards iPhone 3G S promotion:

· Fido will top up the FidoDollars amount by $100
· This promotion does not include an extension or renewal of their service agreement.

just called to get one and the CSR said they are sold out and have "no idea when the next round of shipments are coming in". So, I decided not to buy because that was not so convincing of a sales job. blows.

that does blow... but consistant with how the rest of the world is.
good on rogers for extending. Think it will be permanent?

You should go to a Rogers store. I'm in Vancouver and that stores have tons of them.

Agreed. Vancouver is awesome.

As for the other question ^. I have a lot of free services as a 'valued customer', but the payment should come out to around $87 roughing for a basic rate plan with the 6gig data pkg.

87 bucks is a good deal, is that all taxes in?

I have an Iphone 3Gs with Fido, I have the 25$/month voice plan (100 minutes, unlimited evenings and week-ends, unlimited sms) + 6gb/month + 10$/month value pack add-on (who-called and that kind of stuff) + txs. I live in Quebec.

Bill : about 73$/month

that's even better - how much do you surf the web? You go over at all?

I think 6gb/month is nice, I don't surf the internet that much on my Iphone. But right now I'm using it as my primary internet connection while Fido isn't charging anything for tethering.

I have my Iphone 3Gs for a month right now, I will have my first bill soon so I'm gonna have a better idea but I think everything is going to be fine.

what will happen to all the people who bought one and are still waiting for their iPhone to arrive? Will it still be valid?

I think you'll have to have the device activated to get the offer

doesn't that kinda screw the people who bought this and are waiting for theirs to come in?

I'm sure there is a way around it. I mean it was Rogers/Apple that could not produce the stock. Why would a customers get the shaft

I bought mine at the applestore in toronto. Best buy had a few left back in july. You can always try to get one from another outlet than rogers?

If Orange got the go ahead in the UK for the iPhone, this mean that it's coming soon to Bell?
