LG Vantage as a modem?

so i have an lg vantage and i want to use it as a modem so when im on the road and sitting in my car i can do something. I know i can do this because there is a menu option "phone as modem". anyone know how i can do this and if it will cost me. I have an unlimited data plan by the way. the unlimited mobile browsing for ten bucks a month

You will need to download Mobile Connect:

Set it up with that first. Tethering rates are pretty high, so I highly recommend adding a data bundle to your plan before you do this. It WILL NOT run off your unlimited mobile browser.
