If you use any data, you will go over this very fast. They will not let you get this plan on a 3 year on a new high-end. I'd HIGHLY recommend getting the $55, unless you're constantly connected to wifi. 100mb is only 5 or so apps in a month. Facebook and Email alone if just data will be close to 100mb.

im constantly connected to wifi, and its 5cents per mb overage so its not bad.

You do have 2 months no data overage on SuperTab/3 year, and like you said, 5c/mb extra isn't terrible, as long as you are only going slightly over. If connected to wifi, go for the 40 =]

^really? that's fantastic!
but do you think it's still worth getting the vibrant? it's a pretty old device now (launched with 2.1), and im not exactly a fan on touchwiz (too similar to ios)

If your going galaxy s get the II... the vibrant isn't going to be getting updates much it got the gingerbread but now it's not the top of the line ... and when your going for 3 years do you really want to buy an outdated phone

For his need, a Galaxy S may still be fine.. I mean, I work for Virgin, and I still stuck with my Galaxy S so far. It is a heck of a lot cheaper of a phone, so he is not required to pay 169.99, and if he is not using data, like he said he isn't, he'll be paying $15/mn more for something he doesn't require. All being said, he'll saave $710 by going on a Galaxy S vs S2 on a 3 year. The original Galaxy is still a fantastic phone. Sure it doesn't have THE BEST camera, screen size, ram, etc, but I have had no problems with it =]

these guys really aren't answering your question lol,

is it worth it, yes, its got a 1ghz processor, 5mp camera, big screen on it, runs android 2.3. bottom line is this phone is the most advanced out of all those phones you listed, it a recently discounted high end android phone, where as the other ones are more entry level android phones, obviosly not as high end as something like the galaxy s2, or sensation, or atrix, but still decent.

now my girlfriend and friend both got the vibrant and I will tell you these things about it, Battery life isn't the best, probably looking at round 1 day of use maybe less if you are using it alot, gps isn't great either. reception is ok, not something to write home about, but the screen amazing, camera is good and the speed is nice, plus it has a really good graphics processor in it and if you want you can mod the hell out of it with custom roms and stuff.

I would say go for it, take it home try it out, test the reception and gps to make sure its adequate for your usage, but i agree 100mb isn't that much, just make sure you are only doing mild web websurfing and don't download apps of the network, always use wifi. Other than that its by far the better out of the phones you showed.

thank kirby! :)
i've decided to just go for the incredible s with bell.

their fab10 plan includes:
200mins
fab10 unlted national calling
unlted text/pic/video
100mb ($.15/mb overage)
6pm evenings + free weekends

galaxy s2 and sensation are just too big for me..

I'm also interested in this plan and the Vibrant. I don't know much about smartphones, so bare with me. It's hard to talk about data usage since I don't use right now. I'm probably going to be a light user. I heard that Android does updates or something that sends info to Google's servers. My question is would 100mb/month of data be enough for these "updates".

Hey, on the $40 plan you have 2 months no data overage, so if the $40 plan does not have enough data, you can bump it up to the $55. Or, connect to wifi.

Hey isdfoa!

I definitely recommend the Galaxy S to anyone looking for a cheap high end smartphone!

As Kirby001 stated, the phone does have some issues, but given the recent upgrade to 2.3.3 the battery life has improved quite a bit.

If you're tech savvy, id recommend taking a look at XDA Developers to see their Galaxy S i9000 forum. There are a ton of custom kernels and roms available for the Galaxy S.

Unless you are roaming, in which case they charge 5 cents/kb.

Have to love our wonderful canadian carriers that charge roaming data rates 1000x higher then their plan overage rates. Friggin pirates all of them.

There is no roaming in Canada. It's 5c/mb if you don't have a plan.

The old rate used to be 5c/kb.

Pay per use browser is actually 5c/kb in Canada.
