The downtown Robson st store has a notice of seizure posted on it's locked door. It's say's they owe $ 26,209.63 + costs. I'm sticking with WIND.

I saw that last week.
That was a dealer store (i.e. it's a franchise location).
It has very little effect on the service provider, beyond the optics that a franchisor in a visible location had problems.
If it was a corporate store, then there would be reason to be concerned.

Dealers are independently run, and some are run better than others.
I suggest to everyone reading this, please go to a corporate store if you are the least bit concerned (Money Mart locations/Surrey/Richmond) and deal with the reps there. My best experience has been with the guy at 2595 Commercial Drive in the Money Mart, he really knows his stuff!

wow....I would think that the landlord should have not put the "notice" in plain sight.

I'm sure more local people to that store would be more knowledgeable, but a dead give away to me is that there is no front page story in the Globe's business section about a wireless failure. Also, Mobilicity just raised $200 million in financing last winter in preparation of the spectrum auctions. $26k just isn't enough to sink a company that size.
Why did the dealer fail? Probably bad management, poor service, drawing too much money as salary to the owner, bad location, etc. Of course it could also mean sales were poor. Until more dealers start failing I'd attribute this to a bad franchisee rather that the franchisor.

I know it was a dealer, because when I read the notice, instead of "Mobilicity" or "DAVE Wireless", the business owner was "Carphone Warehouse Ltd" or something like that.
