Blackberry Storm 9530

Interested to hear what people think about the new Telus Storm 9530? I have had mine since December and it keeps getting better with new O/S (albeit unofficial).

Things that I can't wait for however are:

Better unlock/lock solution including unlocking and locking automatically when using the holster (currently only locks)

Faster camera

Faster browser

Ability to store applications on the media card

APP CENTRE!!!

well the app center should be here soon, as far as the browser I don't think it will get much faster...depends on your coverage area.

I have Tested and fiddled with the unit several times and look forward to purchasing it I just have more important things to worry about right now...like the house I am building

Well with to regards with the browsers there are 3rd party browsers that work extremely will like opera mini or even the new Bolt browser. Try them out.If you already upgraded you storm disregard the new O.S i have posted here. I gives you a qwerty keyboard in portrait mode. 4.7.0.90

I concur wholeheartedly! I was a BB user before the Storm and when its all been said and done, the Storm is a good device. It is constantly improving with the firmware upgrades.

RIM has been keeping on top of this with frequent adjustments. That said, there are still a few things that have got to be fixed. That list includes improved stability (there is no way it's ok to need a battery pull daily!).

I too am looking forward to a much richer list of applications and themes for the unit.

Hopefully, the App Centre will take care of the last two.

I really do hope that the APP store will combat iPhone, there's such a strong stranglehold by Apple right now, and if RIM screws this up... I'm afraid what might happen to the causal/media user side of Blackberries..

Well it will be hard for RIM to even think of suppressing the Apple app store right now or even after they open up. It will take a while but i believe that it will be a contender against all app stores. Storm on Telus must be put up against the Gsm version to see if there are any differences besides CDMA and GSM.

I think that if they are working on a device with a QWERTY keyboard AND a HD capacitive touch screen, then Apple will not stand a chance in the future.

Hey people...Has anyone added any themes to their Storm?

I have added a few i found on Crackberry.com and howard forums...they are pretty awesome!
