I'm really in a bind. I can't decide between the two devices.
I've had an HTC Hero for nearly 2 years now with Telus, so ANYTHING will be a huge upgrade. But, I'm sick of paying nearly $70 for getting very minimal use, which is mostly the phone's fault.
I was tempted to jump over to Wind Mobile (as Mobilicity is not available here in Burlington) and get the Nexus S, but I still feel the urge to wait for the GS2 to come out on Telus and sign for ANOTHER 3 years.
Money is a bit tight, so paying $200-300 + 3 year commitment @ $70/mo. seems like a lot, as opposed to $500 + $45/mo with wind.
Suggestions????

A friend of mine just brought a Galaxy S II back from the states. I have a Nexus S (Rogers). Holding the two phones next to each other... there is just no comparison. The GS2 is an amazing device.
The screen is very similar to the Nexus S, but a lot bigger and the resolution is great. It's the thinnest phone of that size that I have seen (except maybe the Arc, but I hate the balance of that phone). And it is surprisingly light.
Don't get me wrong, I really like my Nexus S and stock Android. But I would trade it for this phone even with the TouchWiz UI.
I didn't get to really test out much on it, so I can't speak to how powerful it is. My first impression is that it is one of the best devices I have ever held.
I'm not willing to make a financial decision for you, but if I had the two devices side by side, I would take the GS2 hands down. So, if you wait, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Wow, thanks for the awesome reply. I'm pretty sure I would regret getting the Nexus S anyways, especially with such an awesome phone coming out weeks later.
I'm sure I will use the GS2 a LOT more than my current Hero, simply for the fact I will actually be able to do stuff on it ;-D
