I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but when i order something from a Canadian Website, i have a reasonable expectation that the stuff is coming from Canada.
Not the case with the Mobile Syrup web store. I got stuck with a large duty fee.
Not cool.

I am just expressing my opinion. Reciting the policies of the web store isn't doesn't really accomplish something.
Canadian website should equal Canadian shipping. That is how i feel.

its a Canadian website but the store is handled by a third party. they are obvious based on the United States and that is why were charged duty on the item.

With all due respect to Mobilesyrup and our southern neighbors; is there not a Canadian company that can provide the same service?
There is always a reasoning for business decisions, but I also prefer to spend my Canadian dollars in Canada.
Is MS not a Canadian website promoting Canadian communications (Telus and Rogers ad's all over the forums and website) and sharing breaking news on the Canadian cellular front?

Hi all,
I agree with you on all the above posts. Our goal with MobileSyrup has always been to provide Canadians with Canadian only content.
When we signed the contract with MobiHand there was (and still is) not a Canadian-focused site that has as much selection as they do. We feel the store is valuable to our readers and value this feedback.
Although it's stated on the Store for the shipping costs... it would frustrate me also to get a charge that I was not expecting. It's just like getting hit with those massive cell phone bills we always read about.
With this said, we've made contact with MobiHand to see if there is a way to work with Canadian currency. In addition, we've reached out to Kronk86 via PM and e-mail to come to a resolution on this.
Will let you know more shortly.
Best,
MobileSyrup

I want to thank MobileSyrup for the way they handled this situation.
I was just expressing my opinion. They have been very diligent, making sure that the customers of their web store are satisfied.
Although i was surprised at the additional charges, the item i purchased is better then expected. The MobiHand store does have quite a large selection.
I do plan on purchasing items from the store in the future, being conscious of the price difference.
Hopefully, they will be able to change the currency options on their website.

Hi All,
Just a follow up to this thread as we've been working with MobiHand to add Canadian Currency to the MobileSyrup.com (http://store.mobilesyrup.com) Store. We are happy to announce that this has been resolved and at Checkout you can choose the Canadian Currency tab.
Thanks for your patience!
