I'm using a Telus HTC Desire, unlocked, on Virgin, and lately I've been having some issues with text message not sending. For the past 6 months or so, I have had no issues at all, but in the last few months, every so often a text message will not be delivered. However, my phone doesn't say that the message failed to send, just the person I'm sending it to doesn't get it.
This problem has been pretty rare, but it's starting to happen more often. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the phone or the network, but has this been happening with anyone else on Virgin? I know that my phone isn't supported, so I can't really use Virgin support, since they'll just say it's not supported so not their problem.

Have you tried doing a battery pull? Sometimes that can fix the kinks. It also could be a faulty SIM card. If it gets to be a pain, try calling retail support. If your phone is supported, the text and voice should work.

Voice and text are supported on any unlocked phone with Virgin; it's just data that can be a problem, usually fixed if you can enter the correct APN information (which you can get on the Virgin website). Network issues with texting can crop up, with Virgin they usually have ongoing issues with SaskTel and MTS in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Also occasionally with other carriers across the country - notably TELUS and Rogers. Customer service should be able to escalate a texting issue to Techs, regardless of the phone you're using. At the least they can confirm if it's a network or handset issue.

If you do call customer support, make sure you have a few examples of messages that haven't been received by your recipients - the number you texted, date and time the message was sent, whether it was a regular message or a picture message, any examples of failed received messages on your end as well. And have the carrier those numbers are with as well.

Hope this helps and best of luck.
