Looking for some guidance on the future of MTS here. I currently have 1.5 years left on an MTS BB curve contract. I am constantly over my data use with all the emails and gps use. I only have 2 mb. MTS has offered for a charge of 100 bucks to cancel my current contract and set me up with their new contract that provides same calling minutes and features I have but with unlimited data and my bill would be about 10 bucks a month less than it is now. The prob, however, is that I have to sign a 3 year contract!! THis means I am stuck with my Curve for 3 years. I assume within three years new entrants will come into the market and offer better hardware (Bold, Storm, iphone, android etc.) for much lower prices. Or maybe MTS will switch to GSM and we can start importing phones. Thoughts? PS I live in southwest Manitoba and the MTS network is by far the most reliable here at the current time so I am somewhat stuck with MTS for the moment.
