Dropped calls?

Hey guys,
I've been following mobile syrup for a few weeks now and I'm loving it! I joined mainly because I am fed up with my current phone and am on the lookout for a new phone and potentially a new provider. I just wanted to know if any one else here on virgin have been experiencing dropped calls recently. Both me and my roomate have been getting this a lot and I even had this happen once whole talking to virgin customer care, haha. I am using an unlocked samsung omnia 2 right now, so I could see it maybe being something to do with my phone, but my roomate has an iPhone 3GS. Anyone else notice this? Or is it just me?

Dropped calls are most often a result of using a phone with weak signal keeping abilities in combination with using it in an area where the signals are weak.

Possible fixes are using a different network (that has better coverage) or (if that is not possible) finding a phone that has better signal keeping capabilities.

Blackberries and Motorola phones (in my experience) are usually superior to other models in keeping a signal but I have used other phones that are excellent as well.

I live in a weak signal area and have been trying to resolve proplems of this nature for many years. The phones I am using now are a Blackberry and a cheap LG Keybo 2 (both of these perform very well) My daughters iPhone will not work at all where I live, neither with an older Samsung phone that I purchased about a year ago in the UK.

Hm, I didn't know that. Chances are it is just my phone then, I wasn't entirely sure though, since me and my roomate started having these problems at about the same time, and we had both never had this issue before. Well, thanks for the info.

To reiterate what everyone else is saying, it could be combination of the phone, or weak signals. I have a Galaxy S, and have had very little dropped calls.

yeah. it turns out it was just my phone. I switched out to an HTC sensation and i haven't had any troubles since. (its only been a week or so, but still...)
