ok so we all know that the palm pre and blackberry 8900 will eventualy come to bell. so my question is which one? my instincts tell me pre, but i dont want the screen to get very dirty and look bad, and im worried about the 8930's lack of 3g. im leaning towards the pre, but im not sure. i dont think it looks that good, but not that bad either. i guess i could just get a screen protecter for the pre and replace it when they get dirty.

I think for me I would have to wait until I see the actually Pre in person. I have only seen videos to date. I've seen the 8900 and must admit I like it...

It's more of a matter of opinion. I personally love the chape and style of the Pre. Not to mention the amazing hardware and OS.

The decision in the end would be if you want a messaging-centric device or an online convergence-centric device.

Personally, I would go with the Blackberry. It seems more stable, and you know with new devices coming out especially one as highly touted as the "Pre" That there could be kinks and small fixes. I believe the blackberry would be easier for messaging and with their new app store coming out it should be interesting to see the new apps. The fact that the Blackberry looks slick is just another pro :)

man this 9300 rumor is really putting me off my decision. i think im gunna hold out until my contract is up a year from now then get a new device.

i say go with the blackberry because 3G wouldn't matter until Bell gets the network up and running. If the 3G part was your concern. Also i doubt that the pre would be a good messaging device (love the OS) but just the slide out keyboard doesn't beat the curves keyboard. Since you not a fan of touchscreen, taking you had maybe experience when in your pocket goes out of control, looks like you'll have it better with the curve. my opinion of course.
