Haha! To be honest I am not that old..so when I listen to oldies like this I think: 1) I can't believe people are missing out on this awesome music and 2) Man what was life back then so long ago?

^lol demi lovato.

Ramones - Blitzkreig Bop

I love "Beat on the Brat" by them, lol. Makes me laugh everytime.

The old punk scene brings back so much teen memory for me, hahaha.

As for me, lately I've been listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar, who's an Emcee out of California with some REALLY great writing skills... Almost literary lyrics (and by literary, I mean, carries some of the deeper themes an author of a book would put into their work).

His album Section 80 is a piece about the general mindstate of a large demographic of people born in the 80's, and expresses a sense of melancholy, and a sense of longing for more... both things which I think characterize our generation.

Anyways... I'll leave you guys with a song, as opposed to just a whole album recommendation:

Mucho internet points to both of you guys..I can never get tired of Watch The Throne (except for Lift Off) lol and Kendrick Lamar is too sick! Ignorance is bliss..he has some killer delivery. Do you guys like Odd Future?

Right now I am listening to Never Told - J.Cole

J. Cole is great, imo, because he is in control of the entire creative direction of his music. He wrote his own lyrics, produced his own tracks etc. You can't get more in control then that when it comes to hip hop... Well... Unless the record label rejected some of his lyrics.

Is Odd Future with Oddisee? If so, I have him on Facebook, Twitter and Google +, and have had him send me production samples for purchase multiple times. I haven't bought any beats off of him yet, (mostly because my pockets are very light atm) but I hope to eventually.

Otherwise I haven't really indulged yet, but will based on your recommendation though.

Your musical taste seems to be very broad which in my opinion is really cool, too many people close themselves off to one type and I feel like they end up missing out. I like what you said about J.Cole, did you like anything from Lupe Fiasco's album, Lasers? It felt like he sold out to me but what did you think if you have heard it?

No, Odd Future is not affiliated with Oddisee is he a beat producer? I'll check him out if you recommend. Anyway Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All or OFWGKTA are a collective of rappers in the alternative hip hop genre. They are pretty dark though, borderline satanic lmao. Actually don't listen to them much often myself, but it is pretty good music to run too and to just blast when you want to blow off some steam. If you are bored and just want to give it a shot here is a song by one of the members Earl Sweatshirt. It's pretty conservative compared to the rest of the stuff they have haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiPpdFtBibc.
