Sanyo 2700 comes to MTS for $29.99 on 3-year

MTS just released the BlackBerry Curve 8530 and have followed this up by making the Sanyo 2700 available. This full QWERTY keyboard device can be yours for $29.99 on a 3-year contract (with a $19.99 voice plan) or $99.99 on a 2-year contract.

Quick specs of the 2700 are that it has a 2.2-inch display, comes in “Impulsive Pink” or “Deep Blue” and is meant for text messaging (threaded format), dedicated emoticon keys, 1.3 megapixel camera, speakerphone, 2.5mm headset jack and weighs in at 96 grams with overall dimensions of 109.7 x 59.8 x 14.9mm.

Bell officially launches Sanyo Pro 200 & 700

Just as we reported earlier last week, Bell has officially released the Sanyo Pro 200 and the Sanyo Pro 700 today.

The Sanyo Pro 200s ia Bell exclusive that weighs in at 96 grams, has 10-4 capability, Bluetooth, 3G, speakerphone, GPS, 1.3 inch external display (128×96), 2 inch internal display (240×320), one-touch access keys to the web and text messages. This will be available in silver with a black backing.

The Sanyo PRO 700 provides more durability as it meets military specifications 810F and can withstand dust, shock, vibrations. This is 108 grams, 10-4 capabilities, 3G, speakerphone, one-touch access keys to the web and text messages, GPS, Bluetooth, 1.3 inch external display (128×96), 2 inch internal display (240×320). This will be available in black and a yellow colour.

Bell Sanyo PRO 200 & 700 dummy phones arrive

As we reported earlier Bell is getting ready to launch the Sany PRO 200 & Sanyo PRO 700 devices.

The dummy phones have arrived for the targeted launch date of January 12th. We got some early pics of these and let me tell you these are ready for a beating. They certainly look durable and that is exactly what they’re meant for.

Pricing is looking like the following:

Sanyo PRO 200: 3-year contract for $149.95, 2-year contract for $199.95 and outright for $349.95

Sanyo Katana Eclipse comes to Bell Mobility

Sanyo Katana Eclipse is now available at Bell Mobility. We are waiting on the phone to arrive but have a quick video review of the hardware below.

The Eclipse has a 1.3 megapixel camera (we thought it had a 2.0 mp), video camera, digital music player, 10 MB internal memory, External memory card slot (additional 8 GB, Picture/video messaging capable, Bluetooth 2.0 enabled and 2-way speakerphone. Along with all the standard features (phone, contact, calendar…) This can be yours for $49.49 on a 3-year contract, $99.95 on a 2-year contact, 1-year for $224.95 and the always popular no contract for $274.95. Kyocera buys Sanyo’s mobile phone division

Kyocera announced the purchase of Sanyo’s mobile phone division for US$375 million and will be finalized for the beginning of both companies fiscal year on April 1st. Kyocera hopes the deal will allow for increased market share in the U.S. and other markets. All 2,000 Sanyo employees will be offered positions within Kyocera and will continue to produce Sanyo-branded handsets.

Sanyo Katana Review

This phone came from the brains at Sanyo and made a direct competitor to the RAZR. Measuring 97mm x 51mm x 16mm (3.8″ x 2″ x .6″), the Katana is 2mm smaller, 1mm shorter, and 2mm thicker than the Motorola RAZR V3. It is also light and weights 95g (3.3oz). This is all the rage and we are waiting to see what comes from the next generation of this model.
