Back in August Virgin Mobile Canada released the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 to much fanfare. Now it seems that they are ready to expand the line-up and launch the BlackBerry Curve. The price plan is rumoured to be available at $99 on a three-year plan, with the smartphone looking for a November launch.

Nokia announced the 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen will be released in the US and Canada later this year with its bundled “Comes with Music” unlimited download service. (Obviously looking to take on Apple in many ways). Click here for a massive amount of videos about the 5800.

CTO Bob Iannucci announced that he’s stepping down from Nokia effective immediately for undisclosed “personal reasons”. He will not entirely be leaving and will continue on with an advisory role while Nokia decides whether they even need a CTO. He steps down just before the anticipated October 2nd launch of the Tube
