We’ve seen retail outlets sell multiple carriers before, like Future Shop, Best Buy, WirelessWave and Tbooth. We have yet to see a Bell store directly selling new-entrant Mobilicity. Thanks “MoBellicity” for sending this pic to us.

Area code 579 to hit the 450 region August 21st

The CRTC has announced that effective August 21st, 2010 the 450 region that surrounds Montreal will add the 579 area code. The reason once again is “to meet the continuously growing demand for new telephone numbers, particularly for wireless devices.”
