A year after announcing plans to expand its network into St. John’s Newfoundland, Eastlink has officially gone live today.
The coverage expands its LTE network to the core of the St. John’s area and Eastlink are offering some deals to encourage customers to either signup or switch from a competing carrier, namely pointing out that it has “the same Canada-wide coverage as the Big Guys, at a better price.”
“We are excited to bring our award-winning wireless service to Newfoundland and Labrador,” says Lee Bragg, Eastlink CEO. “We continue to invest heavily in expanding our wireless serving area to deliver the best possible wireless experience for more customers, offering them extensive network coverage and quality, combined with lower prices and exceptional customer service.”
Eastlink is offering opening promotions that will give customers a bonus of 2GB of data free on 1 GB, 2 GB and 5 GB plans.
