I’m a sucker for most things video game related, especially if they involve nostalgia and my fond childhood memories surrounding Nintendo.
While just a fancy, Super Nintendo (SNES) themed skin for Nintendo’s recently released home console-portable hybrid system, this home-made protective layer certainly is impressive looking.
In a post on a Korean social network called Ruliweb, an inventive Switch owner has shown off images of this expertly skinned SNES-themed Switch console, Joy-con controllers and even the system’s dock. Admittedly. because this is not a full paint job, there are areas where the skin looks a little rough around the edges (literally).
Still, if you were a fan of the Super Nintendo’s iconic design in the mid 90s, it’s difficult to look at this skin and not wish Nintendo would release an official SNES styled version of the Switch like the company has in the past with the 3DS.
