Funny how no one brings up battery life…

    • Johan Kolev

Ouhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you just roast very well the ad campaign of the G6. Well done Buddy 🙂 :p

    • Jon Duke

He doesn’t. The only company without the battery problem is LG because you can just buy another battery and swap it. So if they interviewed people that currently own LG phones, they won’t complain for battery.

Also, battery life isn’t complained about by the masses. Only by people like us, who visits news sites and complain about everything. Most people don’t care as long as it charges quickly.

    • Mo Dabbas

I doubt this LG G6 is gonna have removable battery. If it’s water proof it’s not gonna happen

    • Jon Duke

Then they can complain about battery life 🙂

      Until then, nope.

    • h2oflyer

Exactly…..toilet swims are now more important than good battery life.

    • Smanny

We all know battery life is important, however every LG flagship device has had removable batteries. One of its more endearing qualities. That and it’s IR blaster.

    • h2oflyer

Water resistance and removable batteries don’t go together as the S5 proved. You get one or the other.

  • Rob

    A phone that doesn’t bootloop.
And if Lg remove s the removable battery, I’ll buy Samsung next time all things being equal.

  • Cowpoke Sal

Oooer! They forgot the bloomin keyboard!

  • h2oflyer

Water resistant is now just a byproduct of current assembly methods. It was just a gimmicks when Sony introduced it on the Xperia series.

It’s now become a must have feature. Another star for the marketing spin masters.

    • Dimitri

Not really a gimmick as it saved many phones from having water damage if dropped into the toilet or shower or even in the pool in ur backyard. Many find it a ” gimmick” but at the same time want it.

    • h2oflyer

When I said it was a gimmick I was referring to most posters on this site and other sites who were bashing Sony. True Sony lovers like myself treasured the water resistance and used their phones in the water.

    • Dimitri

Ah okay!. I loved Sony for that feature. They stood out for having it yet got bashed by the those that have a waterproof Samsung or iPhone now. None of them are bashing those companies I noticed. Only Sony got it yet they did it for the right reasons.

I have a Z5 sitting as a paperweight due to water damage. I don’t trust any phone that states it’s waterproof anymore.

    • h2oflyer

My water resistant phones have been Xperia Z1 Z2 Z3 Z5 and now the S7. I have used them all in water never more than 3 ft deep and clean them in the kitchen sink. Followed instructions, didn’t bend them and never had a problem.

When Patrick was bashing Sony on its water resistant warranty claims he said I was just a lucky user. Wrong! They were all used less than a year but survived a summer of boating on Georgian Bay.

  • Jason van de Laar

    This phone is feeling so fly…like a G6 🙂

    • Homer J. Simpson

Should be used for the commercial.

  • Smanny

Other sites have said that it will have a 1440×2880 resolution display, which would be even better for VR. Especially since this device will be Daydream VR compatible, with the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1, and full Vulkan graphics support.

  • Garrett Cooper

Looking forward to this one. My Z5 just got water damaged and Bell want too much for a Pixel, so I grabbed an HTC M8 off kijiji since there are a number of interesting phones on the horizon.

Few things to say about the video.

Bigger screen? — bigger than what? we already have phones larger than 5.7 inches. bigger than that is a tablet. and yet on the same video they want to be able to text with one hand – make up your mind LG.

Not to slip out of your hand — well, just hold the darn phone as it should be, you should not be walking and texting. Need to text? Move to aside and do your thing then keep walking, stop walking into people or onto subway rails, or getting hit by a car on an intersection just cause you were not paying attention.

To be protected if from falling on the toilet. — right there are so many things wrong with that statement. First of all: are you really that desperate that you need to bring your phone to the washroom? If you are going to take a leak or a dump just go and do it, leave the phone behind. And no the washroom is not a good place to take selfies and the phone should not be on your back pocket either.

People need to really seat and evaluate their priorities in life. Batteries on premium flagships should not be smaller than 3600mAh if you ask me. I can see a big difference in similar usage between the S7and S7 edge, the Edge just outperforms on battery life even with the use of edge apps and display.

I guess I could nominate some of those in the video for the Darwing awards!

    • Ridge

Bigger than the G5. I mean, that’s pretty obvious.

  • Brad Fortin

That image makes me think the phone won’t be reliable. The only punctuation is an exclamation point and it’s after a word followed by a space (as in, not tied to the word before the space) and right before the word “reliable” without being followed by a space (as in, tied to the next word due to the lack of space), leading to “!reliable” or “not reliable”.

    • Homer J. Simpson

You must be fun at parties.

    • Brad Fortin

      Pot, kettle.

  • Ridge

Screen at 5.7, but smaller body than the G5? I’m skeptical.
