Google Now is splitting up news and personal info to better organize your feed

Google is aiming to make its Google Now app (now referred to simply as the ‘Google App’) easier to use by separating news cards from personal information such as flight times and calendar notifications.

The update is rolling out now to Google App users in the U.S. on the Android platform, with the Californian tech giant that it is rolling out to iOS and other countries “in the coming months.”

The news section of its app is now called ‘Feed,’ and Google states in its announcement blog post that the update also brings with it a new card that lets users select topics of interest that they’d like to see more content on in the future.

The more personal side of the app is now called ‘Upcoming,’ and is dedicated to things like users’ daily schedules, travel times and package deliveries.
