iOS 10 is here and along with the new operating system comes a dedicated iMessage app and sticker store. After browsing through the list of often rather pricey stickers this morning, I came across a particular set that spoke deeply to my nostalgic soul.
No, I’m not talking about Nintendo’s new Super Mario sticker pack, though it’s great as well. I’m referring to the Pokémon Company’s new retro set of Pokémon Pixel Art stickers, allowing emoji users of all walks of life to post an image of Bulbasaur with “NICE!” over its head, or Red, the main character from Pokémon Red, with “GO!” over him while riding a bike, and many more, all for the not so low price of $2.79.
In all seriousness, as far as stickers go these are actually pretty cool for anyone who spent time playing Pokémon Red or Blue in the late 90s to early 2000s.
Also, check out the sleeping Snorlax, it’s by far the best sticker to ever be released.
