Ahead of Google I/O in May, Google has refreshed a number of Google-related apps with the same triangle background found in the Google Play and Play Store apps.
“Since launching Google Play four years ago, we’ve always had dedicated apps in addition to the Google Play store. Today, all our icons are getting an update to provide a consistent look across the entire family of Play apps,” said Google in a blog post.
Google lists Play Movies & TV, Games, Books, Newsstands, and Music, which all now have the refreshed and colourful look. However, one of the cooler looking app icons was Google Music with the headphone, which is now vanished and replaced with what looks to be a vinyl record and music note.
These new Google Play icons will roll out to Android and iOS devices and the Play Store online “in the coming weeks.”
