Starting today at approximately at 10 AM EST, right around the time this article is published, major retailers across Canada will begin accepting preorders for the PlayStation VR launch bundle.
The $700 bundle includes everything PlayStation 4 owners will need to start playing virtual reality games on their console — including the PlayStation VR headset itself, a PlayStation Camera, a pair of Move controllers and PlayStation VR Worlds, a disc that includes five VR games from Sony’s London Studio.
So far Best Buy, EB Games and Walmart have launched dedicated web pages where consumers can preorder the bundle. We’ll update this article if any other retailers launch their preorder page for the PlayStation VR headset. Preorders for the $549 PlayStation VR bundle, which only includes the headset, necessary cables and microprocessor unit, will launch later in the year.
Update: Some retailers like Amazon have already sold out of stock. If you missed your chance to pre-order the bundle, fret not; Sony Canada said there will be a second wave of preorders sometime in the Summer.
Update #2: Amazon Canada has stated more inventory will arrive next week, noting on its site “PlayStation VR – Available for Pre-order on Tuesday March 29 at 7:00 AM PST (10:00 AM EST).”
