They Galaxy S7/S7 edge is already a pricey device, coming in at $899 and $999 off-contract, respectively, but luxury gold-plating tech product specialist Goldgenie has once again applied a layer of undeniably tacky sparkling gold dust to Samsung’s new smartphone.
The 24 carat S7 makeover, which quite literally screams “steal me,” is set to sell for an astounding $4,000 CAD. Granted, it’s worth noting the cost of this gawdy smartphone is amplified by the high-end price tag currently attached to the S7.
Perhaps these devices are targeted directly at Lil Wayne, who is prominently featured in various recently released Galaxy S7 advertisements. It’s unclear, however, if Goldgenie’s custom devices can withstand the torture of having champagne poured on them (we think it’s unlikely).
Along with other “glamorous” S7 custom designs, Goldgenie also sells flashy versions of the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s and of course, even BlackBerry devices.
