The Asus ZenFone Zoom is now exclusively available through New York-based B&H Photo Video for $399 USD. This smartphone features an optical zoom lens and the massive camera retailer will ship it to your front door, but at a heavy cost.

At the $399 USD price point the exchange rate will increase the cost to $565 CAD, but shipping and customs fees ring in an additional $60, raising the cost of the ZenFone Zoom to approximately $625 CAD.

As for the camera, which is a major selling point of the device, it comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with 4-11mm f/2.7-4.8 optical zoom lens, 3x zoom, OIS, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

    Available in Canada! Really?

No , available to ship INTO canada

    • Yeah, what a misleading headline!!!

They say the best camera is the camera you have in your hands – which for me means my phone! I would love a phone with a real(ish) camera so I really hope this actually becomes available in Canada at a reasonable price and without cross-border shipping hassles.

But is the camera on this phone as good as advertised?
Also, I find the price a bit high for the hardware, and for a device that may not get any updates past 5.0
