Qualcomm teases drone hardware platform ahead of CES

With the start of CES less than a week away, Snapdragon-maker Qualcomm has become the latest company to offer a sneak peak of what it plans to announce at the upcoming tech trade show. However, rather than showing its latest mobile processor, the company’s new YouTube video instead showcases its upcoming Snapdragon Flight platform.

Over the course of its almost minute-and-a-half runtime, the video highlights the platform’s main selling points, including an autonomous flight mode, a feature that allows a drone equipped with the company’s silicon to automatically navigate back to its takeoff and landing point. Other notable features include the ability to handle 4K video recording, as well as complete things like obstacle mapping.
