Apple issues second iOS 9 public beta

Apple has issued the second public iOS 9 beta a day after the fourth developer beta was released alongside a new watchOS 2 beta.

The company announced the initiative, wherein it would provide early adopters and software enthusiasts a way to test the latest and greatest mobile software, at WWDC earlier this summer. Unlike Apple developers, who have to pay $119 CAD per year to be part of the now-unified OS X/iOS/watchOS program, the iOS 9 public beta, in addition to the OS X version, is available for free to anyone who wants to risk a few bugs.

To gain access to the iOS 9 or OS X public beta, head to Apple’s dedicated page and sign in with your Apple ID.
