Owners of 2014’s excellent Monument Valley can now download the Ida’s Dream level pack for free. Originally released in collaboration with Project Red late last year, the update contains more of Monument Valley’s beautiful and perspective altering stages for players to puzzle their way through.
The level pack is available simultaneously on all the platforms that the game was previously released on, and features a reworked colour palette.
Based on an interview TechCrunch’s Darrell Etherington did with the game’s developers, Ustwo, this is likely the last piece of content Monument Valley will receive. Neil McFarland, the company’s director of games, told Etherington that Ustwo is focusing its efforts on Land’s End, a new virtual reality game that is set to debut on Gear VR, and another as-yet unannounced mobile game.
Check out the trailer for the level pack below. Monument Valley is available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and Amazon App Store. It retails for about $4.59 depending on the store in question. Those with access to Amazon’s app marketplace can get the game for free today.
