Google releases its official Clock app to the Play Store

Google Clock

If you own non-Nexus device and simply can’t take the look and feel your smartphone’s clock app, Google has a treat for you. Continuing its trend of separating core apps from Android, the company has released its official clock app to the Play store.

In a bit of a treat for Android owners, the version of the app that’s hitting the Play Store today is the same one that’s included with Android M. This version brings with it the ability to select the day of the week recurring calendars start on, though only Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays are an option. Beyond that, love it or hate it, it’s the same clock app that’s been with us for several years now.

Google’s first-party clock app is available on the Play Store, and is compatible with any Android device running KitKat 4.4 and up. There are also six different versions of the app available on APK Mirror, in case you don’t like how the current version looks.
