HTC launches DLNA App on Google Play Store

HTC continues untethering core parts of its Sense UI by releasing apps to the Google Play Store. The company has previously launched native apps like Gallery, Camera, Calendar, Weather, Lock Screen, and now the HTC Service – DLNA is available to download. This gives users the ability to use their phone to wirelessly share content to any DLNA compatible player, such as a TV or Bluetooth speaker.

“HTC’s DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance Server) Service gives you the best performance in the HTC Gallery, Music and Video Player apps. This service lets you connect via DMR (Digital Media Renderer) and play multimedia files in DMS (Digital Media Server).”

The app is only compatible with HTC devices and can be downloaded via Google Play.
