Android 5.1.1 OTA update rolling out for Nexus 10, and coming soon to Nexus 9

Nexus 10

According Android Authority, some Nexus 10 devices have started to receive an over the air update to Android 5.1.1.

Google has yet to release a comprehensive log detailing all the changes that come with this update. However, given that it’s only 13.9 MB, expect mostly bug fixes, as well as performance and stability improvements.

Once the update is downloaded and installed, the tablet’s build number should be changed to LMY47V.

Anyone too impatient to wait for the over the air update can download the 5.1.1 factory image from Google’s developer website.

For those that own a Nexus 10 tablet and have downloaded the update, what are your thoughts? Does the update solve Lollipop’s memory leak problem?

And Nexus 9 owners won’t have to wait too much long for the same update; a Google employee said in a Google+ post that the team is dealing with some “last-minute bugs” but it won’t be long now.
